People For Animals (PFA-Ahmedabad)

“People for Animals” (PFA) a well-known name amongst Animal Welfare Organization in India, is led by Mrs. Maneka Gandhi as Chairperson and Mr. Mahendra Shrimali as a Secretary to Ahmedabad PFA.

Since 2002, People for Animals has been helping the animals with the help of Ambulance which is run by Mr. Shrimali and additional help by running a PFA vet clinic with a qualified Vet doctor. Regarding the treatment he covers areas like Chandkheda, Ranip, Wadaj, New C G Road, Kaligam, Shahibaug and few more nearby places.

Mr. Mahendra Shrimali an Animal Welfare Officer of India, recognized his passion for animals in the year 1998. With enthusiasm and true spirit to do more for speechless animals, he contacted Mrs. Maneka Gandhi and started PFA Ahmedabad with 150 volunteers who were from different walks of life. MR. Shrimali is also well-known as an animal activist who responds to all calls regarding cruelty to animals where distance in kilometers does not matter to him and his group of Animal Lovers. He has successfully fought many court cases for the animals and still boldly continues the same.

Animal Rights Fund (ARF-Bangalore)

Animal Rights Fund organization was set up in 1999 to collect funds to support other animal welfare organizations. ARF wanted to become the nodal agency and make sure that all animal causes got adequate fund, food and medicines from ARF. Over time, our involvement spread to include myriad activities relating to ensuring rights of animals rest is history.

In 2007 ARF switched to CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release) technique from ABC. CNVR is humane, safe, simple, friendly and effective. Street dogs are released on the same day. As per the guidelines of Animal Welfare Board of India they are promoting ABC/CNVR program all over India. ARF have successfully opened many hospitals all over India with more than 100 employees working for the cause of animals.

ARF has an Animal Helpline between 7 AM to 7 PM which treats sick and injured street animals. ARF also promote veganism, fight legal battles for animal causes.

Jivdaya Charitable Trust (JCT)

JCT started its work in the year 2008 with its main motive to provide treatment to injured animals in the city of Ahmedabad.They provide the services in areas which are between Sabarmati and Sarkhej, i.e. the new western zone of Ahmedabad.

They have a mobile van service, which responds to calls made by people about injured animals in their area. The animals are treated on site and follow-up visits are also made to ensure full recovery.

Shree Cultural Foundation

Led by Mr. Mukesh Bhati founded in the year 2008, SCF deals with awareness campaigns on a large scale during the kite flying festival. It also deals with Avian and animal casualities. This NGO also deals with raiding the unofficial trading of the birds. This is the first ever NGO to get the letter from the mayor and CM (narendra modi) during the kite festival. Future plans of the NGO is to build an ambulance unit for the avian and animal casualities.
